OP, you should check the tyre pressure.

When I picked up my Pajero 3.2 it handled like a pig so I checked the tyre pressure. I discovered that the tyres were over inflated to 50 psi front and back. Apparently this is very common practice in Thailand for pickups.

In common with a few other poster I upgraded to 20" Lenso, now I throw my SUV around as if it's a car. Keep the right foot planted going through the corner, don't ease up on the throttle and you'll be fine.

PJS rules....

Cool, until it breaks loose then l hope you have done a rally driving course. :shock1:

No worries, power slides are fun.....

Cool x 2. :)

Agreed ^

I had the stock wheels & tires on my Pajero Sport for 9000KM before changing them to 20" Lenso's with 265/50R20 tires - the difference is pretty dramatic - well worth the 27-40K Baht (changeover) IMHO.

Hi folks,

can you please post pics of your PJS's with your rims? sounds interesting,

saw a set of Lenso's i'm interested in over here in Manila, but they're so dam expensive here, and they were 19's and a friend told me that 19 tires are hard to come by replacement time...

I don't want the chrome bling or the trendy black chrome, just some nice alloy finish, and don't want a super low profile, would still like to maintain an suv look to it,

considering all of your comments as well on handling and cornering gives me a lot to think about,

any suggestions? Also, place in Thailand where you got your good deals? am not getting a reply when I comment or write them thru their sites so I'm figuring there might be a language barrier...

your prices sound great, however I would have to keep my stock rims as the dealer would in fact void my suspension warranty if I'm caught modding the rims

i have been reading this and other discussions pertaining to PJS, Fortuner, and MU-7 because Im in the final stages of the big decision. It would be the first new car for me, and the first car of any sort in LOS. Your comments are of course very enlightening.

MU-7 is out among other reasons because as i learned in these forums it will soon be discontinued. PJS would be the slightly leading candidate but for one factor: the nearest dealer is, in BKK traffic, over an hour away roundtrip. Toyota, as always, is more or less pak soi.

Two questions:

1) how important is having a nearby versus the more distant dealer; and

2) in thailand generally Mitsu has few dealers compared to Toyota: has anyone found this to be an issue when traveling?

Any thoughts appreciated.

If you look on another post ford warranty you will see that you will more than likely have to use a Mitsu dealer for service. If that's a problem think twice. Best of luck with what ever you get.

I think if you are travelling you could probably estimate when a scheduled service is going to come about. A quick visit to the Mitsu webpage would locate you a dealer not too far from wherever you are. If you didn't have a computer I think it would be a reasonable guess to say that every 'big town' you pass through has a Mitsu dealer.

I haven't got a good quality pic of my wheels yet, and it's raining quite heavily ATM, so this will have to do.. Same wheels, same car - only difference is that I don't have a front bug protector:

Here's a couple of links for wheel and tire shops online:

As for your suspension warranty, you may want to check the policy - in many cases shocks and springs have a much shorter warranty than the rest of the car.

Never - there's a Mitsubishi service center in all major towns.

Many thanks for your several responses to my queries above; and yes, the ford warranty thread was particularily useful.

Despite the hour roundrtrip to the nearest Mitsu dealer, PJS does seem to be pulling away from the competition, at least in this head of mine....
