hi there and Sawasdee krub!

I'll be in Samui for the fifth time in August.

Some words to my person: I am and 25 years old and from rocky Austria/Europe.

I really like Samui a lot. I'll stay at Chaweng, as it is my fifth time now, I booked for August and will fly to Thailand on Thursday (yipppieeh!)

After Bangkok, I wanna explore the north of LOS, then enjoy Samui.

Got some acquintances, unfortunately they won't be there anymore (went back home, one moved with his thai girlfriend to Phuket and he lives there now, some thai friends moved home to Isaan).

Is anyone up for a cold one / hang out on any good place? I like rock music and nice places (so I don't mean the reggae pub or green mango ^^)

Any bar owners, expats or travellers here who are open for some cold ones and some conversation?

That would be really cool.

Just answer in this thread, but you can also send me a message.

And, yes, I bought a onetwo prepaid SIM card for mobile phone last year, I don't have a clue what it is like in Thailand, but here it's useless when you haven't used it for the last 10 months.

Do you think taking it with me is it worth, or better buy a new one? (as I said, I don't know how onetwo call is handling that in Thailand)A friend of mine made a quick trip for three weeks to the gulf this June, he said there are really not much farang there at this time, he had some delicious seafood anywhere in Bophut and there were not much people - up to 50% cancellation he told me, maybe due to the protests?! Well, hope I'll get some answers

.I am really happy to go to LOS again, so - samui I'm coming - don't hesistate to write.

Chok dee krab and nice greetings to Thailand

Homs

I had a 1-2 Call sim card and when I topped it up it was good for a year. I'm not sure if it's like that immediately or only after you top it up several times over a period of time. I would bring it anyway since you probably have some phone numbers on it you might want to check. It can't hurt and it's not like it will put you baggage over the limit. :)

I left Samui 6 months ago so someone else will have to give you the places to hang out. But I can tell you when I was there not many places played rock music. :(

When you arrive at the airport visit the 1-2-call shop and explain your card hasn't been used for so long and they should be able to reactivate it.

Thank you for the replies,

got some infos; of course it doesn't have to be a metal bar or anything like that - never seen that on samui.

Just sick of this everplaying house / techno;

well, hope onetwo call will work, as I've already mentioned, here they are deactivated after not having it loaded up for a longer time.

anyways, I'll see ... or I'll contact a oneTwoCall shop, otherwise I 'm going to look for a new one - as i remembered 50 Baht.

Have a nice day (or evening there in thailand right now)
