Teaching Without Degree

Featured Replies

Hi,

I know it is very hard to teach English here without a degree, especially if you are not a native speaker. But I read that it is possible to find a job without BA. Can anyone give me a list of schools(public or private) or advice me where I should go to ask for a job? I live in Hat Yai, so any school in Hat Yai or close is good.

I am not looking for myself, I study in PSU in Hat Yai, but my boyfriend will come and I would like to help him to find a job..

Thanks...

Maybe you should start by saying where your BF is from.

I know of a language centre that looks for teachers and it does not matter if they have

degrees or not, however the work would not be based in Hat Yai

He is Croatian.. We both know very good English, except my parents had money for Toelf and his parents didnt.. We are doing it together, it is more fun, but I will get a degree and he wont..

Has he any experience? Teaching Certs? Does he know how to teach? Is he professional? White?

These will probably make a difference to his success.

I would suggest that when he arrives, he puts on his happy face, puts on his shirt and tie, and goes to speak to all the language centres in town. Maybe pop into all the government schools too.
