TheWalkingMan Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 This is getting ridiculous. 13 & 9 year-old murder victims??!! Hope they catch the criminal and put him down slowly and painfully. TheWalkingMan
Scott Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 This is quite shocking. My thoughts are with the parents, family and classmates to these boys.
animatic Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Disgraceful doesn't really get there. Depraved indifference to lives of children fits better. As well as an evil psychopathology preying on anyone, regardless of normal human motivations or feelings. Yes Scott, I have to feel truly saddened for those they left behind.
Mario2008 Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Sad story. My blood is boiling and my hearth bleeding.
angiud Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 What Thailand should do more about all the violence increasing year by year, the lack of values among the people, the abandonment of true Buddhism, the interest only for the money?? Is that the price Thailand should pay to enter in the "first world" countries? I'm so sad about the loss of those young lives. Poor Thailand... 1
philliphn Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 This sort of violent trajedy will not help Pattaya's reputation as a high class tourist destination.
meelousee Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Murdered for 1000B~30$ Dollars some kind of sickness seems to be gripping Chonburi and surrounding areas. Is it greed? I am not sure, when stories like this break I want to point my finger at the Russian mob or just over all greed or something else. I am not sure what it is but the last few stories make me wonder. Coyote dancer murdered, Computer hack and ATM theft, double suicide, drive by shooting, and the list continues murder, rape, hate, and desperation. RIP young men

I don't live there and I don't understand that. I guess the perpetrator was on drugs? Why would anyone murder children?
LaoPo Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 What Thailand should do more about all the violence increasing year by year, the lack of values among the people, the abandonment of true Buddhism, the interest only for the money?? Poor Thailand indeed. 9 and 13 years old and being murdered for Baht 500 per life.....:( Incomprehensible. May they RIP and my thoughts are with their family and friends. How horrible. LaoPo
Jingthing Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 This is a Chonburi province story. Not a Pattaya story. Not a Russian story. It is very sad and tragic. Sadly people are murdered in many countries over much less money than that. If there is a moral, I suppose it may be not to resist violent robbers, although that of course is no assurance they won't kill you anyway.

Is that the price Thailand should pay to enter in the "first world" countries? I'm so sad about the loss of those young lives. Poor Thailand... It's amazing the propensity young Thai's have for violence. If there is a ruckus nearby, all are quick to jump in. I've been to quite a few concerts in Issan. Pretty much every one had a fight. Bottles flying everywhere...it happens so quick that it's hard to get out of the way! And when the instigators are grabbed by their parents and taken home, they are young, skinny kids with glasses! Amazing... Lack of values for sure. Poor Thailand for sure...
angiud Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 For my (small) experience of Thailand, the center of the problem is the lack of education first in the family and then in the school, plus the "saving face' issue that is generating a lot of violence. No hope for this poor, sad Thailand.
gotlost Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 RIP and condolence to the family. I dare not say what I fell.
Cobalt60 Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Truley shocking. The Television soaps show a constant stream of murder and aggression towards women, men and the lower classes, and violence of a type I have not seen on regular televison elsewhere. Maybe it sets the standard here or reflects it.

Change Buddhism to Religion and you will get England.Poor England. Does anybody remember James Bulger,a very hideous crime, done by 2 young kids, lets get back into reality guys, these horrible crimes happen everywhere, not just Thailand.Life is cheap to any nutter.

Very very silly talk.Thailand is no different to any other country. Can you imagine if England reported all petty crime in the newspapers, there wouldnt be space for anything else. Lets put things into perspective,Thailand as a country hasnt got a tremendous amount of crime, but we all need to be careful when out,the same as i would do in England.

I agree that soaps are realy silly here, and are very racist to the lower class, but when i last saw Coronation st,and Emmerdale farm on uk tv(about 15 years ago) there was plenty of violence in that,so whats the difference, get real mate.

The last 2 "concerts" I attended were just for one small village. Max of 150 people or so....almost all were related, and many were parents and elderly. So kind of a family gathering. I agree that fights happen in concerts, etc...but being from the US, we don't have the same kind of violence that follows football (soccer). Plenty of other kinds, but not that kind. And not the kind I witnessed up in the village.
angiud Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Why we should make comparisons with England? I live here and I don't feel better to think that the same crimes happen in England too. Bad for England is the situation is so tragical. Very very silly talk.Thailand is no different to any other country. Can you imagine if England reported all petty crime in the newspapers, there wouldnt be space for anything else.Lets put things into perspective,Thailand as a country hasnt got a tremendous amount of crime, but we all need to be careful when out,the same as i would do in England. Thailand has a lot of violent deaths, more than most of countries we live/lived. And we only know of a not so big part of all the violent crimes of the Land of Crying, all the rest just pass unnoticed. Sad.
