Hi,

I am currently employed in Sydney Australia with a multi-national company in the retail trade sector covering sales data analysis. My current role is based as the senior engineer managing a server deployment across 5 countries and 120+ servers. I also supply technical support for our team which also manages 600+ workstation deployments. One of our regional offices is in Bangkok but the company doesn't see sufficient growth in this market to relocate me to work from Thailand. I have been with this company since January 2002 and enjoy the working relationship. I managed the initial infrastructure deployment for the office opening in Bangkok in 2005 and have been regularly travelling here since then.

I met a wonderful Thai girl in January 2009 and have now been regularly travelling here to see her, and making a life changing decision to look for employment over here with the intention of moving here permanently (or as permanent as an Australian expat can be in this country) so I can be with my fiancée.

I don't have a CV as I have never needed one, but in brief, I am currently employed as the senior technical engineer managing 120+ server deployments for the last 8 years (Microsoft platform), before that I owned and managed my own computer services business for 7 years. Before that I was the production manager of a manufacturing business for 7 years (also moonlighting as a computer technician) and before that I had various roles in the manufacturing sector with a trade background as a fitter/machinist.

I am currently learning the Thai language and my fiancée tells me I am doing really well, but I'm sure she's only saying that to keep me happy – LOL

I am not looking for anything specific in the career direction as I am also open to new challenges, but something in the IT sector will be a comfortable fit. I will be in a position at the end of 2011 to relocate permanently to Thailand after I sell my assets in Australia. At present, I have told my daughter that I will support her in Australia while she finished her master's degree in psychology.
