My Car Crashed

Featured Replies

Went out to see what this noise was that i could hear to find my car trying to start itself over and over and half way up the stairs, luckily the other day I parked facing in instead of our, after all the rain we have had I found water round the gear stick and the floors wet, windscreen has a leak it appears and condensated up into the starter wiring in the dash board. :(

Stairs 1 - Car 0

Front bumper bar all broken and in pieces, nothing more luckily, just some black wheel spin marks on the concrete.

Ulp! Christine, the evil car...

Thats just what I was thinking, it looked just like it too the way it kept lurching up the stairs.

Wow - that's a bit scary.

Could have been nasty.

Was it parked in gear .... or was it an auto left in drive? Are you sure someone was not messing with it and ran off? Was it the starter motor that moved the car or did the engine start?

Sounds like it was having a automobile version of a 'wet' dreamwub.gif

I bet the Thai's think it was a "pee"

I had the same happen years ago, I installed a new battery in my Datsun 1600 Roadster. After finishing the job me and the girlfriend jumped in and went for a spin and decided we needed food. After eating we came out of the restrurant and no car, thinking someone stole it. We scanned the lot and on the far side was my car up aganist another. After getting the cars seperated (no damage to other car) we push started car, starter burned out, we drove home and put car back up on blocks. When installing starter wires I had allowed the positive from battery to get to close to negative the starter shorted out and the car cranked its self across the parking lot. Cost another starter but more careful installing the second starter.

Nothing new it happens to me all the time when I've had a few beer Changs !! hic.

I think you need to get the Monks round and do an exorcism - but not until you have repaired the leak first.
