Are Do It Yourself Mold Testing Kits In Pattaya?

Featured Replies

We have a serious mold problem in a bottom room and I'd like to get my hands on some home testing kits to check for invisible molds in other rooms, but can't locate any here.

Anyone know where they sell them?

Think it's a case of if you think you have mold then you have it,just grit your teeth and hope the monsoon season ends quickly.

Dreadful living in a tropical clime in some countries, monsoon season comes around everything but , everything remains wet for months on end, bedding, towels, even the bloody toilet paper, the one or two hours of sun that might be seen and a mad scramble is on to open every window to try and at least get dry for an hour or two. Anything leather and a banana tree or suchlike starts sprouting overnight on it.

Good luck in your search, but pointless exercise I feel. Move to a higher floor,or paint your outside walls with a waterproofer, cannot do anything about rising damp though.

Oh, there is no question we have a BAD green mold issue on a lower floor. It's really bad. :-(

What I am looking to find is the invisible type molds that may be lurking in the higher floors where we can't see them.

Save your money. If you have mold on your lower floor, you are going to have mold spores throughout the building. Even if you had no evidence of mold, there are always going to be mold spores floating around waiting for an opportunity to grow. The only way to control mold is to remove one of the main things it needs for growth, that being moisture. You are better off spending your money on a de-humidifier or two to bring down your moisture levels throughout the building. Clean up the existing mold with regular soapy water. Forget bleach and water...it really doesn't help.

I'm an environmental specialist and have dealt with indoor air quality issues in the past.
