Ok here are a few more i think are worth trying ...1/ Chu on Viset rd Rawai next to Coffee bean in front of the big Rawai Seaview complex , Thai Chef , 5 years cooking in France , ex Sheraton .. great menu and cheap western and thai , forget about the location , seating etc ..... i have been back twice to have the chicken ravioli .... highly recommend ...

2/ Areu Cnr next to Cheers Bar Rawai, a little pricey but excellent food if you want a romantic dinner its the place to go ...the steak is first class ....also very good service

3/ Ya Nui Bungalows ....now this a roughy but a goodie ... great place to have good Thai food right at Ya Nui beach , its open in the low season , ignore all the clutter and dogs etc walk into the resort area across the grass and see Toi or her husband Nuk , very nice people and she is a great cook , always cool down there at midday because of the sea breeze ...check it out ..

Ok get stuffed !!! with food that is ...lol

people might already know about it.. but Lan Yai Ma in rawai - pretty much opposite dilligaf bar, just down the rd from shrek apts. great food, massive menu, very good prices.

To OP, thanks mate. Always good to get unbiased information on places to go. :)

Alreit...! So thats where he went. Me and others wondered why he shut down his business at the pier soi in Chalong so quick. Absolutely delicious food and cheap. He didnt have the biggest menu when in Chalong but everything was mouth watering. Top notch and the owner who is the chef seems like I great guy too.

Great, I'll have to give it a try as it's reasonably close. That location has gone through a few restaurants in the last couple of years so I hope this one will be sustainable.

Mr. Chu's is excellent, but, you can get tired of the limited menu very quickly.

His bed of mixed vegetables are good but are served with pretty much every meal.

Very nice bloke. In fact, the whole family are very nice.

Had a really good Indian curry at the DILLIGAF Bar (located on the road from Rawai Beach to Nai Harn)last night.British style Indian Madras,Tikka Masala and Vindaloo with rice and Nan bread available and get this it was FREE just buy your beer.Don't know if this is on every week but I'm glad I didn't miss out last night.I will find out if they are doing it every week

Unfortunately it was a one off but I did get details of the company who makes the curries if anyone enjoys a decent British style curry.
