Thai Visa Annual Party

Featured Replies

Hi

Are we due a party sometime soon? I notice last year it was

6th June, and advertised as annual.... so there ought to be one this year...

I think a good old party is what we all need in these difficult times.

I think Tuskers have been hosting the annual TV party - I thought it was Novemberish.

Are we allowed to drop by anonymously? I want to show off my new look... neus.gif

A good idea David

Last year's event was well attended and a great way to socialise amongst Thaivisa members

Not much interest in this thread so far, but come on guys - the forum needs a bit of a kick start and what better way than to do it with a party and get to know each other. It would be good to meet the mods too. ( Obviously with no moderation issues being allowed )

I think that would be a positive approach

Why do you need TV to organise a get together, caf? Do you only come out if the night is free?

Why don't you make a post suggesting other posters meet up at a well known location such as Tuskers? It has been done before and some of us have become quite good friends as a result.

Last years event was June the 6th, but we had a lot of rain, the 2008 event was on November the 8th and as the rain is still around now November is looking good, we have to check for a date where it has no conflicts with other events or elections/ public holidays and should have it confirmed shortly.

I won't rise to your little bait, Blinky, about only coming out when the night is free. I use Tuskers a lot and obviously money goes over the bar if that is your concern. But let's take it in easy steps for you to understaand that this annual event - (free or not, in my view. ) would be a good idea.

1. Last year's event was well attended and a great way to socialise amongst Thaivisa members - obviously one can't talk or would want to talk to everyone.

2. It would be a good way to get Chiangmai forum members together face to face and that can only have a positive result for the forum.

You quoted my post in its entirety but obviously did not read it.

Come on Blinky, be positive, let's ALL enjoy a party and more importantly this forum.

@ Blinky Bill

Though we didn't talk on Friday night

I did admire you from a distance!

Hello all Thai Visa members. As a fairly new member to Thai Visa Forum it would be nice to meet people who have been members for a long time. Does it matter if an attendance costs each member a small amount. Thai Visa has grown rapidily over the last year year with lots of new members so lets have a party near Christmas

David, I hope you admired me in a non sexual way. ;)

It's hard to be positive when surrounded by negativity, caf.

I made it to the first and second parties but was unable to make the last one due to work commitments. I hope to get to the next and look forward to meeting you face to face. :)
