Scooter Rental At Bangkok Airport

Featured Replies

Is it possible to rent a scooter by the day at, or near, the Bangkok airport, or are the roads accessing Suvarnbhumi airport a no motorbike zone?

In the past we taxied to a hotel and rented from there, but what if your only there for a day? Yes, I have ridden in Bangkok and enjoy doing so just as a visitor. I can manage to survive in Chiang Mai, which is a down right treat to drive here in comparison to riding in Beijing and Shanyang.

Thanks

As it is on the motorway, and you are not allowed to ride bikes on the motorway, then no.

it is wrong to suggest that the airport is on the motorway without aso saying that is just one way into the airport. You can also access the airport avoiding the motorway by a couple of different routes. That said however I would not bother even if you found a rental place nearby. I am guessing of you want a moped then there can not be too much luggage so get the train into town and pick up a bike there.

Although probably impractical (especially for a foreigner) to ride around the airport area, it clearly has to be accessible to motorbikes. Think of the thousands of workers at the airport that only have motorbikes.
