Hi all,

I am wondering about the non-immigrant B visa. If a company has provided a letter and registration details so as to apply for a non-immigrant visa abroad, and you get a one-year multiple entry non-imigrant B visa, would it be possible to enter Thailand and change companies should you not be happy with the original company?

If so, would it mean that you need to reapply for a non-immigrant visa when in Thailand already? Or could you simply use your non-immigrant visa and apply for a work permit for another company on the same visa?

If you do not take up employment at all with any company, could you do hypothetically do border runs every three months for a year/until you find a sweet job?

Thanks

JJ

Yes, you can change companies or just not work at all. Only when you are on an extension of stay from immigration, based on work, is your permission to stay tied to your work and would losing your job mean you lose your permission to stay.

So you can just do border runs every 90 days and in the mean time look for a job.
