Visiting Thailand - Best Phone Carrier & Plan To Get?

Featured Replies

I will be visiting Bangkok and Pattaya for 4 weeks. Can anyone suggest which carrier I should get service through? I have an iPhone 4. (Unlocked/Jailbroken from USA).

Thanks!

I recommend 1-2-Call. Just get their SIM and you can get scratch off cards (50 baht, 100 baht, 300 baht) at any 7-11 to top off your phone. Enter *120* the numbers on the card and the # sign and send. If you need help, the clerks at 7-11 or any cell phone shop will assist.

If you opt for just a sim card instead of a monthly plan remember to turn off the notifications or you will find that your money went away very quickly.

I think you can get a 1 month plan from AIS for about 799 baht
