Cycling Bangkok To Supanburi

Featured Replies

Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone has advice on the right route or the most scenic route from Bangkok up to Supanburi.

I've done Bangkok Ayutaya a number of times, so wondering if the start of the route is similar to that, where you then head off to the left.

By that I mean you head all the way up Vipawadee rd, past Don Meung airport and then maybe 10kms past airport you get on the road which hugs the river with the railway on your left.

Just wondering if anyone's done this way and where you take a left as that would be perhaps a longer but much quieter route.

I have a "roadway map", but any first hand advice would be great.

Thanks.

you can try searching for bike routes here: http://connect.garmin.com/explore (use "Road Cycling" in the 1st search field & "Suphan Buri, Thailand" in the 2nd)

i've only been west of the city/chao phraya river once, it was the suck. http://connect.garmi...ctivity/9674869

Thanks there. Apologies for late reply - wish thaivisa would sort there emailk notifications out, always hit and miss.

I ended up doing a wierd route - going to Ayuttaya then Supanburi then Kanchanaburi. Not sure why.

Rained 3 days solid.

Kanchanaburi was good though.

In the process of putting up a site.

You can check out my route here if you like.

Thanks
