Most shops sell for the same price CPAC Monier depends on the color regular colors like brown should sell for around 12 Baht each. Some shops sell for 12.25 or even 12.50 baht. CPAC thinks they have a monopoly so they don't discount - if you order 1000 or 7000 roof tiles the price stays the same.

But if I would be you I would consider other brands as well. Having big problems with CPAC, delivery time, colors e.g.

Steel for roofs is also the same price almost everywhere. The price entirely depends on your specifications.

The best is to find a hardware store near your building and compare their prices with other shops - ask them if they also deliver for free - like I did on the Doi Sakhet Road. If I need extra I just call them and within 30 min or so they deliver - that way you don't have building materials around and order just what you need.

Just don't go in there the first time and get the prices by yourself - as a Farang I mean!

Roofing steel prices can vary by as much as 15%. When you shop you should specify the minimum weight per piece for each size you are ordering, not just the nominal size in inches and you should weigh a sample of each size when delivered. It is best to tell the selling shop that you will weigh the pieces and return them if they are too light, then they are more likely to insure that you get what you order.

There is a large shop on the left side 2-3 kilometers north of Mae Rim, about 1km after the traffic light at the road to Mae Sa Valley, before the market that has had good prices and delivers in town. Talk to the lady owner sitting at the back desk, Khun Jum, with your shopping list, if you speak Thai. I saved about 15,000 baht buying roofing steel from her compared to 3 prices I got from shops in town. She also sells CPAC tile.

I was just asking if she was Chinese because my friend says she might know the shop you were talking about and it was owned by Chineses people. My wife is half chinese would you like me to send you a picture.

Is it a Chinese owner?

The name plate on the owners desk states that she is one fourth Laotian, one fourth Thai, one fourth Chinese, one fourth Cobra so you best keep your racist ass away from her.
