21St November 2010 – Loy Krathong

Featured Replies

This will be my first Loy Krathong in Pattaya. I love this festival. Where's the best place here to celebrate? We did it in Chiang Mai a few years ago, and several other cities...so hope it is just as good here.

The lakes down at Wat Yaan are very handy for you, Still a lot of people there but not the massive traffic jams like in town.

My girlfriend insists on spending the evening on Jomtien Beach. The fireworks are nice - as long as they aren't pointed straight at you! - and there are lots of food vendors around, though avoid the cheap sushi. We end up finishing this ancient and revered festival in the age-old Thai fashion, i.e. playing pool in a bar.

When in Rome... ;)
