Best Method To Purchase New Imac In Thailand

I'll be moving to Thailand in February. I am selling my current iMac that I use here in the US and want to get a new one for use in Thailand. I'd like to know the best way to get the new one. Information from folks that have actually bought iMacs while living in Thailand would be preferable.

Any information on AppleCare for the iMac would also be helpful.
