Dry Cleaning In Phuket

Is there a recommended dry-cleaning shop in Phuket? The curtains at my hotel are a few years old and some have stains - I want to try to dry clean them to see if this returns them to 'new' - otherwise it's an extra expenses to purchase new curtains.

I used them for curtains and they are very expensive.

2 sets of curtains cost 7500 baht.

I admit the cat piss smell and stains had gone so i guess they just wanted compensation for pain and suffering.

I knew a dry cleaning shop owner , He told me they quite often do not use any chemicals

but wash them in a normal washing machine.

I tried this when i lived in Kathu. they were permanent pressed.

I hung them back up while still damp and they looked like new once dry

Might be worth your time washing one set and see how they turn out

Central and Patong is same company as I recall, Dry Cleaning World.

have used them on curtains, good clean, but at a price. My maid washed same curtains from another apartment in our washingmachine at 30C without consulting me (say dry clean only), same good clean, fortunately not damaged

I actually did a test with washing one very dirty curtain in a washing machine and pressing it. The result is not 100% clean, but about 95%, which is pretty good. Cost was 50 baht for wash and pressing. So I'll go and do the other 19 curtains and ave the dry cleaning for the low season....
