Can anyone recommend a good ergonomic office chair that supports the lower back? Where to find on Phuket?

Seems that whenever I buy a new chair the lower back area on the chair always seems to collapse quite quickly and am now back to square one after just a few months with the current chair.

My back hurts... again! :o

I have the same problem with back support. I use one of those driving cushions they sell in the supermarkets.

Bought mine in the motoring section of BigC IIRC

I got one of the 3'500 baht (Executive Chair "Office Centre") synthetic leather ones from there 1 year ago, the surface of the material on the arms is already cracking, half of the screws holding the arm rests to the chair have fallen out, and I had to get the underside welded back to the chair twice as that broke aswell.. :o

Going to treat myself to one of the 24k leather ones next week I think, you get what you pay for I suppose..

The most important thing when buying any office is that it is a Ergonomic office chair, the importance of correct posture and good back care is more important than price and looks.

Somebody has been playing in the basement :o ... I eventually found a chair but still not enough lower back support.

Thankyou ellis200200 for showing us that nice range of hi-tech ergo chairs - but I doubt I'd ever buy a chair via mail order.

Perhaps now, since the OP is 2 yrs old, there may be other stores on Phuket with a decent range of chairs. Anybody know?

Hi, I was looking around for one of those chairs too, but then I realized that the recliners/LazyBoys were even better for my stiff knee. Check them out. Imitations, local made stuff are very cheap 5-7000, and are pretty good quality. Lazyboys are somewhere from 25k and up.

Have you considered one of the large Fitballs? I have been using it and feel i have much less back pain then when I was in a chair. I can still slouch so it is not fool proof for bad posture but I do have less stiffness in my back. Some people swear by them. I am not there yet but I have not gone back to my chair now and its been about 3 weeks. They are about 500 baht at sports stores in Jungceylone and Central.
