Are there any Muay Thai or language schools that issue education visas on Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao ? Thanks

As far as I know the schools do not issue you with a visa rather they just provide you with the necessary paperwork for you to apply for the education visa but I may well be wrong . My friend has a small Muay Thai boxing school and will ask him about it for you.

the schools don't issue visa, schools that have a governement license(none on koh samui) can give you the paperwork to get an extension of stay provided by immigration, small schools might provide some paperwork for you to go get an ED visa abroad.

tourist visa is the way you'll go.

If you're purely after a visa to live in thailand and have a bit of cash you can get an ed visa with places like walen and do the course via skype it costs a bit more but you get to live in thaiand where you want.

I'm gathering from this conversation that one is supposed to have an education visa to train at a Muay Thai gym, is this right? I trained in phuket on 3 different occasions 6 months at a time and not one person even mentioned this.....and planning on being back to do the same except on Koh Samui this time. Can someone please clarify a little more on this?

I know someone who is studying at a language school in Samui, and they are providing a 1-year education visa for him. They teach English and Thai. If anyone wants more information, I can find out more about it, or you can call them.
