Hey there, my stash from Canada of Clonazepam is running low and want to find a pharmacy that has in BKK. I take this for situational anxiety.

Went to South East Asia Pharmacy on sukumvit soi 15 and they didnt have any of the benzos - lorazepam (ativan), clonazepam (klonopin), or alprazolam (xanax). Bumrungrad will give me a refill but because of the cost :ermm: I am hoping to get it elsewhere. Anyone know where I can get some, I would take any of the three that i listed but prefer to keep the clonazepam?

Thanks

Landanna,

The reasons benzos are controlled is that they are abused widely, are highly addictive, and in many cases are only 'as good' as other treatments - which are much less harmful. Situational anxiety, is very effectively treated by a number of psychological approaches -including CBT, relaxation, desensitization, meditation, and stress management. Most of these methods have been widely researched and proven to work well.

Already been through CBT and therapy, it did help alot but been dealing with this for years and I need medication every once in awhile to control physical symptoms of anxiety in work situations, that's the end of it, no breathing exercises will help those who suffer severe anxiety it merely helps bring you down to another level i.e. from a level 10 to a level 8 in which you still need medication.

Thanks, I will try some other pharmacy just didn't want to pay the 900 baht fee too see my doctor to get an overpriced prescription. I also will try the Atarax that Sheryl has mentioned in other posts!

I understand that this is buying benzos OTC is illegal and not encouraging it but there is so many things in Thailand that are illegal yet done in the clear light of day with the police just down the street!

They are widely available but I've been told that this is changing very soon as the government are trying to stamp out this illegal trade by pharmacists. This attempt will fail, try the smaller one man pharmacies on the sub soi's.
