New Motorcycle Lanes

Featured Replies

Nice to see Bangkok city planning have done something to ease the traffic problems along Sukhumvit from Prakanong to Ekkami.

The Motorcycle lanes on the sidewalk allow motorcyclist to travel without having to neogiate the busy main road.

It doesn't bother me in the least as I leap out of way of the ones that have strayed from between the white lines.

I've even seen the odd push bicycle traveling along these special lanes.

Good work/.:jap:

At last they've improved the pavements (sidewalks), I remember when I lived in Bangkok the pavements along Sukhumvit were so bad that the motocy taxis refused to use them anymore.

I wish they would at least pass a law stating that pedestrians have the right-of-way on the sidewalks. Some motorcyclists get peeved if you don't immediately jump out of the way.

Maybe they can put up "Beware of Pedestrians" signs. :D

I'd like them further up Suk, please.

I have to weave my way thru the ppl at a crowded busstop on my way home every day.

Effin peds, worse than the cyclists in front of you in the cycle lanes on Sathorn!

Doesn't everyone realise that motrcys are the lifeblood of the economy and if they don't get thru it will die.
