Exactly where is this place? Thanks

Suk soi 4, on the same side as the Dynasty Inn.

Walk up soi 4 past the Dynasty, keep on walking past Chequers, keep walking until you reach Jools, right beside Jools is a small soi.

Big Mango is on your left hand side about 20 yards down.

A/c bar, non smoking, hassle free, half decent food as well, I quite like the jalapeno burger, the chips suck though, frozen not fresh potatoes.

Bear Lao, dont know what the fuss is about, too yeasty for my liking.

a few years ago the Big Mango was high up on the list of 'best burgers in BKK' and I useta stop by there when in the area when they were located on the first floor of Nana Plaza; burger, chips and beer Lao couldn't be beat...

anyone know if the current place is run by the same falang owners?

I thought the place had shut down. Didn't the same owners own the Duke of Wellington in Silom?

That place has just been left empty.

Heard they had a good burger when they were in business

Lol its still in business and still does good food. The beer is good and cheap includes Beer Lao (you either love it or hate it!) Upstairs balcony for the smokers as well!! Its nice at the moment because it doesnt attract the hordes from the gogo bars down the road and its far enough up soi 4 and tucked away enough to stay that way hopefully!!!

They have a website, www dot bigmangobar dot com

That says that, in addition to happy hour (16:00 - 20:00) Beer Lao pricing (reg.: 65 baht/dark: 75 baht), Wednesdays are BEer Lao night with the same happy hour pricing all night (presumably 16:00 until closing).

They used to be a tenant in Nana, had a dispute over the lease/rent, were closed/gone for a time, and then later reopened in the new location on a side soi off of Nana Soi 4.... Somewhere along the line, I had the impression they had an owner and/or manager change.

I liked this to be kept quiet.

Love the Beer Laos Dark and would

be cheesed off if everyone drank it!

The Ship on 23 has standard Beer Laos

but the dark is the better, methinks.
