TAWP
I spent 7hrs on a bus just to get my visa stamped at a casino STEVEN ROBB will make his debut for Thai Port in the Asian version of the Community Shield on Sunday - but only after spending all night on a bus going to a casino to renew his visa. The ex-Dundee United and St Mirren star made the switch to Bangkok last month after leaving the Buddies and he's loving life in the Thai capital. As a foreign national, the 28-year-old winger is only eligible for a 30-day visitors' visa at the moment. So with it set to expire this weekend, he was sent on a late-night dash to Poipet on the Cambodian border to have his documents updated. Robb was picked up along with English team-mate Jay Harris by a specially chartered coach at 3am yesterday morning. The seven-hour journey, which took them out of Thailand, dumped them at a casino for breakfast - where officials stamped their passports - then ferried them back to Bangkok in time for training. beano2274
he says about having to have two visas before the club issue a WP, what a load of B*llocks. Seems the club do not know the rules and are probably stringing him and his mate on. Edited February 10, 2011 by beano2274
beano2274
In the UK a player cannot play football without a WP being issued, here it seems they play without being registered at all.

Maybe he has 2,3 or 4 entry in visa and club don't hurry because that. Unnecessary paperwork if he fails in field and get sacked after few games. Do they need workpermit playing on that transitvisa time or not?
