Am going to Pattaya early march, can anyone recommend a cheap but decent hotel/guesthouse in Jomtien?

Close to the beach?

Between 300-600 Baht as am a pensioner traveller.

You could try the Comeback Inn located up the small Moo behind the Dongtan Beach Police Box. Rooms are very nice with all mod cons - AC, fridge, cable TV/DVD, hot water - and the owner is a friendly English guy called Phil. It's right by the Baht Bus route to either head further down Jomtien Beach or else go into Pattaya, so you'll have no transport worries. There's also plenty of bars and eateries in the area if you prefer to stay local. A room is 500 Baht/night. Best to book in advance as it's just a small guest house and is often full. Phone 038-303118. They also have a hotmail.com account with the name comebackinn.

Rooms from 500,- Good food, pool table, internet, and close to beach, and baht bus!

The guys who run the cafe on the ground floor in View Talay 2B have a few condos for 600B all in. I think they have a website but can't remember the address. Call 0899352642 & ask for Phil or Norman.

The building is on the baht bus route & close to the Jomtien Bar Complex. Make sure you check out Lovejoys Bar round the corner on Trappaya Road; 60B for a 640ml Archer & no BF (apparently)
