Sex with underage kids is bad. Any questions?

Sex with underage girls according to western morals is bad. Agreed.

But many societies - going back hundreds if not thousands of years considered a girl a woman once she had her first period.

That could be at the age of 10 or 16.

Is it right to lay our moral strictures onto closed societies who are not part of the western culture? Just a question.

How many porn sites tempt men with legal age girls done up in in school uniforms? Zillions, eh?

Or how about the nasty sleazy dailies (The Sun or Daily Sport in the UK for example) who's page 3 girls of legal age are often made to look like younger schoolgirls? These same papers have the cheek to run campaigns against those convicted or suspected of using underage girls and yet they seem to encourage this with their pornography.

I'm not comfortable with this stuff - to me the witch hunt against paedophilia smacks of the new witchcraft - it gives people another object of hate that nobody dares to contradict because if they do they could be tarred with the same brush.

Witch hunts stop rational discussion. People react to this issue in a way that is expected of them rather than in the way they feel.

And yet, if you opened an underage explicit porn site I have no doubt that it would get millions upon millions of hits which gives the lie to the fact that paedophilia is a minority interest. I'm certain that it's massive.

I bet that 90% of men are tempted but because it's socially unacceptable only a small portion of those take the plunge.

And don't ask me what me particular preferences are. I'm fed up of women and gave up sex a long time ago. I'd rather ride my bicycle.

Don't flame me, I'm just saying what I feel.

I think most men have thoughts of killing somebody or stealing something but it doesn't make it okay to do even if these are natural impulses and there was a time where the law of the land was the physically strongest could do what they wanted to others. Not like any modern society is perfect but they do improve over time because of laws and what society deems is safe, fair and/or acceptable as opposed to what urges we have.

Changed your mind, eh!

What age do you think white men should stop having sex?

What weight do you think white men should stop having sex?

Does the relative age/weight of the girl affect the age/weight that the white man has to stop having sex?

Do you think there should be different rules for men with brown skin?

LOL, now you wants stats????? Do a little reading/research on your own or use your own personal (honest) experiences as seems to be the correct way to evaluate people & groups on a whole according to posters here ... and according to many you don;t even have to take part or have used the services of such things as working girls to know such things as they enjoy their job.

Well, you are wrong.

Yes, you are right. So let me rephrase ...

ALL MEN HAVE HAD THOUGHTS OF KILLING SOMEBODY

I,m lost really what this is all about, and why you really said it. you rephrased something to be more of a crazy statement. How on earth have you got into all mens minds over god given centuries, to say this is fact. I do shake my head sometimes at some of these things. Excuse me but is this statement meant to be a wind up.... you are sure to get hostile replies with this. And please after this....don't go telling people that they are not educated anymore, as countless posts of yours have done in the past. I do apologise to forum for having a dig here but I think its called for.

I'm not sure you got my point.

I think there was another post right after or before yours that also mentioned something about it being normal to have feelings for younger girls. I just wanted to point out that even though men in general are programed to want to reproduce with healthy females to help ensure the the race survives that we also have laws that help ensure we survive as a society among other things. To be honest I really didn't understand your point so I really wasn't commenting on the over all point but the first sentence did grab my attention given as I believe it is wrong to have sex with an underage girl in any society ... but I do understand that different societies have different views on when a girl/women is underage.

It is factual -- do research (educate yourself without taking offense to the word educate as I don;t believe I have used the word in this entire thread).

Do you understand what a "thought" is?

It was clearly in response to people being able to control their thoughts and feelings such as those towards an attractive developed underage girl

Edit: Ok maybe ALL was over the top since I am sure there are some men whose brain processes don't work as a normal person and have not their entire life.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Id,_ego_and_super-ego

This is very basic stuff from intro level psychology university and it imparts a very rudimentary understanding that stays with us for the rest of our lives. Even some high school students learn this. Quite normal content in the west.

As you have previously stated you succeeded in school I wonder what your criteria is for evaluating success?

Do you understand what a "thought" is?

You were not talking about a casual "thought" zipping through someones consciousness. You were implying that all men have serious thoughts about killing someone and that is complete nonsense.

You should just drop it or admit you misunderstood because you are just burying yourself further in appearing silly. My post and use of words were very clear as were the way they were used and how I was comparing these thoughts to be similar to men having thoughts about underage girls. If you choose to take the meaning to be something else then the problem lies with you and not me.

I have never thought about killing anyone. I was in the army and people were shooting at me and I never thought about killing anyone. I was very worried about them killing me though. I was also worried about stepping on a mine and getting my cojones blown off.

Seeing a picture of that belly dancer that was doing the Italian PM I must admit I had some thoughts, like bunga bunga but they were not about murder.

I have lifted a puck a little high on occasion to get the goalies attention. High sticking was about as violent as I ever got. I never watch horror movies or any gratuitous violence on TV. It makes me sick.

I also lived in Chiang Mai for two years and never saw any underage Burmese women prowling the streets. I have also never seen any indication of kidnapping or women held servitude at any establishment frequented by Falangs. It is pretty simple to find out. Ask them to get a passport and join you on a vacation to Singapore. Or ask them to marry you. No one has ever told me he had to buy his wife out of some kind of indentured arrangement. I have never met a woman who could not change bar jobs at will. They do quite frequently.

95% of the women in the bar industry work in Thai owned places for Thai or Asian customers and that may be a different story. I suggest asking some Thais with experience in that area to comment.

Same old b/s##t Nisa, now were silly I,m not normal for never wanting to kill anybody, educate myself, were not understanding you, were devoid of thought, and my brain doesn,t work normal, and hasn,t for 70 years, In general knowledge cleaver cloggs I could lose you. back to thread

You are claiming that ALL men (or at least most men) think about desiring Ruby the Heart-stealer on the same level that they think about wanting to murder someone.

I would have a very hard time saying no to Ruby, but I have never wanted to kill anyone.

Just who appears silly here? :whistling:

Evaluation--working in overseas aid, I think I may have an idea what it means. With all this wiki/stat you will one day dissapear up the kyber. again we are only applauding the releasing of 2 captive children!!!.. and a pity they cannot get the lot in this Land. give your opinions by all means but if you want to be personal with me expect some flack

Nisa in my post #204. I clearly posted the actual things that you yourself believed to be good--2 girls rescued from captive bar--that I said was 2 is better than zero. and it was a pity we couldn,t get this to happen throughout Thailand. instead of agreeing with my post, all we seemed to get was a load of stats from wiki/internet (another poster)about the morals when it should have been a short thread, with posters comments, but we don't have to go round the houses and up kelly,s rear end about a regular happening in Thailand. How do we as people here help to stop these evil people using young kids to get money. we can only put a little pressure through visa, and hope.

I use red simply to make it easy to see my new responses to prior post content. Using red (or could be other color also) helps since there is a board limit on layers of quotations and posts simply cannot be posted. It seems reasonable to insert red(colored) text within the same frame.

I did however receive a warning about this and I assume this was your way of responding to some of my "discussion/debate" posts with you.

"With all this wiki/stat you will one day dissapear up the kyber."

I would greatly appreciate an explanation of your quote above and I assume as you wrote this you are capable of expounding upon it??

I did not debate/respond to your post #204, therefore there is no argument from me, so why are you requesting me to re-read it?

I responded in #222 to add input about "id, ego, superego" as it relates to Nisa post regarding controlling some impulses we may have.

I hope you are not one of the people that complain about lack of critical thinking in society here.

If I miss a point and a person responds and asks me to look at a point made they want a feedback--as in my point about #204 a feed back would be helpful-without that I am not to know if It was ignored. only a polite gesture to stop any bad feeling. The other point was regarding the Wik/internet/google---I say stats are fine and without them we would be in a mess---Little bits on points made to clarify some things-acceptable....I was merely pointing out that if we all went on line for info on every topic it takes the whole feeling out of posts-especially legnthy google style stats. Ha --no big offence personally...an old saying is if you get tied up too much in bumf- you could end up dissappearing up your own rear. This I was taught in my government days. One other point I wish to make-is similar to the stats topic, one other poster in particular-near always goes on about u.s.a. and stats from there, and usually responds with why are you here if you don't like it, but forum gives us theads to disscuss, and they near always are topics that fuel an anti thai answer.
