Tsunami Warning For All Pacific Region

Featured Replies

Live in progress right now amongst others on BBC World.

Tsunami warning for all of Pacific region.

I could be wrong but I think you will be ok in samui unless tsunami's can turn corners? the pacific islands and even the west coast of North / South America could get hit though?

Fully agree that unless Tsunami's can now turn corners the threat to Samui is a big fat ZERO !!!!

The quake happened in Japan as far as I know so no need to head for the hills just yet.

The Tsunami hit so fast in japan that it caught everybody off guard.

If this one hits Thailand, it will be in the Gulf and not on the Andaman Sea. Indeed no rush to run for hills yet but good to keep eyes and ears open.

Footage on BBC World of the live Tsunami were horrible, a massive wave with fast speed washing everything up, including fleeing cars, motorbikes and who knows what.

this makes it pretty clear

They are also including Malaysia into the areas affected according to CNN.
