I am looking to buy a small condo close to walking street, the closest one I could find is Yen Sabi Condos, behind the VC hotel. I would rather have one between 2nd road and walking street, but I cant find any, this appears to be my next best bet.

Can anyone tell me anything good or bad about buying a condo at Yensabi, I am about to do it and want to check for problems before checking availability. I have seen a couple on the net but want to be safe than sorry with the building

I want it in a foreign name, I assume they have them

I want it to be girl friendly for my nightly guests

thanks for any help

I dunno a thing about Yensabai but would strongly suggest you rent there for a while before you buy. Absentee owners will show up at various times and you can learn all you need to know. A long-term owner will give you an earful.

"Girl friendly" is an irrelevant hotel concept. If you have your own condo, you invite into your own property whom you please whenever you please.

I don't want to live in it, just use it from time to time if a friend comes to town, or if I want to bring a girl there for a few hours. It will also give me free parking for my car :)

There have been quite a few suicides in that building - check for yourself.

It wouldn't give me a nice warm feeling to be in there :ermm:

When I bought a computer from one of the managers in 2006 The place was occupied mainly by gays- Not sure if it is the same 5 years later but if you are not into the scene I would check the place out real good if that may be a concern.

The management is not good and they screw you for anything they can.

But the building itself is good and handy for Walking St and South Pattaya and for getting out to town in a car or jumping on a songthaew.

Lots of muslims in the area now.

12th floor are generally the best units in the building.

It's guest friendly as there used to be quite a few of the Eastern European working girls living there.

Seems a bit extreme buying a place just to use as a ST room, there's plenty of ST hotels around already.

Edit: what about Centre condo on South Rd.?

Is the "dragon lady" still running that place? If so, watch out!

It's funny people would see gays as a problem. Stereotypically, gays moving in means gentrification and better conditions, but I can see in the context of the Sunnee Plaza area, that may be a stretch.

All 40 sqm if my memory serves me right. Some issues walking up the soi to the condo reported over the years. Yes, too many arabs now and as it is one of the cheaper places, you get the lowlife which migrate to the bottom end. Not as bad as Nirun by a long way but hardly the Ritz.

Rent perhaps, buy no.

The common areas are run-down and very depressing (like Center Condo) but the individual units are usually most satisfactory. The pool area is pleasant and Ok. I also recommend renting first. These places are very popular during the high season and have regular clientele. For your purposes, I think Yensabai Condos would be a good choice.
