Best -- tourist visa

Better -- air ticket out of Thailand ANYWHERE within 30 days

Worst case, buy a cheap one way throwaway ticket to Malaysia.

They should board you with such a ticket. If they give any flack, stand your ground. BKK intake doesn't care either way (won't check).

Ticket - I have found that you need a ticket back to your home country... They want to see proof that you have a plan to go home, and unless you are a good swimmer, you are going to be flying from somewhere... the Return leg doesn't have to be from Thailand...

30 Day Visa on Arrival at airports, I believe it is only 10 at land crossings... or apply to the consulate for a 90 Day multiple entry visa...

I'm an Aussie, so don't know Hull process, but I believe you can do it via post...

Australian airports have an especially strict reputation on boarding to Thailand. I still think a one way ticket with a one way out of Thailand to a neighboring country will probably get you boarded, but if not, don't sue me! Also probably a good idea to call the airline about their boarding policies.

A double or triple tourist visa by post from hull, they will return with a one day turn around. a return ticket will not be required with a visa, without visa, an air ticket out within 30 days will be required for boarding in the UK.

Its 30 days by air 14 days by land border.

tourist visas are free at the moment until 31st March. make sure the use by date on the visa fits in with your plans they are normally valid for 3 or 6 months, check on site.

Get a Toruist Visa from HULL, living in Scotland is NO ISSUE as you can apply by post and have it back within 7 days normally.

Why mess about and risk creating problems, just do it right and its plain sailing.

You get 15 days if entering by land and 30 days entering by AIR if you dont have a valid visa.

Get the 60 day tourist visa, if you want you can then extend that by 30 days giving you around 3 months altogether if you need it.

Safe travels !
