Old timers are telling me it is all very odd this week. 'Last years = no rain = yellow grass.' So what is happening? Is the world in turmoil? Is it because of the Japanese and Burma quakes? Is it Malay bomohs?

Is this a blip or a long term thing? Or was it the super Moon last week that came a bit closer to our shores? Please don't tell me it's Col Gadaffi's fault. Umbrella sellers are happy though.

I remember reading another thread about the weather where a member mentioned that this year's poor weather was being caused by the La Nina effect. No idea if it's true but sounds a reasonable explanation.

Seems like it's brought the surf up, but I'm a little leery of the water quality as the first rains usually bring the mucky mucks with it.

Anybody surf Kata yesterday or today? Brown trout? Blind mullets?

I managed to keep dry in the deluge this afternoon in Patong, only to arrive home to go and clean my feet in the bath when I turned on the faucet and the bloody shower went on with cold water soaking me. mad.gif.

Thanks! I got a chuckle out of that!
