News_Editor
President Obama launches re-election campaign 2011-04-04 16:45:41 GMT+7 (ICT) WASHINGTON, D.C. (BNO NEWS) -- Barack Obama on early Monday morning launched his re-election campaign for President of the United States with a 2-minute web video. The brief video on www.barackobama.com, titled "It Begins With Us", featured several supporters but no footage of Obama himself. "The politics we believe in starts not with expensive TV ads or extravaganzas, but with you - with people organizing block-by-block, talking to neighbors, co-workers and friends," a statement along with the web video said. -- © BNO News All rights reserved 2011-04-

Steely Dan
Well on the foreign policy front we have appeasing Iran and probably turning Egypt into a fledgling theocracy, not to mention fighting alongside the Taleban for the first time since 1978. Fiscally we have an explicit policy of dollar debasement which can only result in a debt default through inflation which would make most banana republics blush. midas
you have to laugh at the irony though................. Last year the headline was " Obama criticizes generation iPad " " US president Barack Obama has criticized the iPad and Xbox 360 for transforming relevant information into a "diversion" and putting "new pressures" on democracy. "With iPods and iPads and Xboxes and PlayStations, - none of which I know how to work - information becomes a distraction, a diversion, a form of entertainment, rather than a tool of empowerment, rather than the means of emancipation," Obama claimed in a speech at Hampton University quoted by AFP." http://www.tgdaily.com/mobility-features/49682-obama-criticizes-generation-ipad but then 11 months later he makes this announcement on twitter Edited April 4, 2011 by midas
chuckd
Here is a rather humorous look at another possibility for all you jackass lovers out there in TV land... ______________________________________________________ POLITICAL COMMENTARY FROM ANDREW MALCOLM John Phillips: Why Hillary Clinton must run in 2012 April 4, 2011 | 2:22 am If Hillary Clinton's primary voters and President Obama had their relationship status listed on their Facebook pages, it would change from “Married” to “It's complicated.” To be fair, Hillary voters never fell in love with Obama, they just fell in line. Their relationship is less like a Julia Roberts chick flick and more like a Bengali arranged marriage. Because of their arrangement, Hillary-loving Obama voters are quick to jump ship whenever Mr. Hope-and-Change looks like he's getting played again by his political opponents, is in over his head or is dissing their girl. Despite Obama's anti-climactic campaign announcement just now, according to all the recent polls, Hillary voters aren't only jumping ship –- they're taking their fins, snorkels and pina coladas with them. Jingthing
That's just a bunch of noise. I preferred Hillary back then, I still prefer Hillary, but she's not running, so talking about it might be fun but it's not real world. 2016 Hillary? Sure. chachachacha
Well it will only be another right wing President again . Never been a left wing one that is why the country is a fk up. It also means that a new one will mean a new Christian Crusade somewhere in the world . The USA has done nothing to the murdering shits that killed their own people (men, women & children) the wholesale slaughter of them a WACO. If they can cover that up I wonder what slaughter is covered up in crusade lands. The only difference between the parties is one lot just want to fk health care off & let the people carry on dieing on the streets & the other wants them to die in Hospital (OUT OF SIGHT) & the mugs (voters) actually vote for them (AMAZING) Reminds me of Thailand in many ways . USA is a third world country , uncivilised (EXECUTION) & don't give a flying about the poor in their own country .Do they honestly believe that the world is stupid enough to believe the BS about they care for people in other countries when they don't care about their own. No more time for practice anyways, he came in riding on some high horse of being able to effect change and knew the job at hand and lied about his ability to take it on (or naively didn't) just to become one of the worst con men of all time, he talks a good game, nothing more.. Mr Obama is embroiled in debates about aiding the Libyan rebels and funding the US government, and faces the possibility of a government shutdown if a resolution is not found by Friday. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/us-election/8427420/Barack-Obama-launches-2012-re-election-campaign.html Edited April 4, 2011 by flying

Jingthing
Yeah, both parties are corporate status quo. But that doesn't mean there aren't BIG differences. If nothing else consider the difference in supreme court justices potentially to be picked by Obama vs. some character like Palin or Romney. I currently think Palin will run but don't expect her to get the nomination. Obamacare? It's seems a mess but remember Obama really wanted to do the right thing, a Canadian style single payer system, but sadly he had to face the reality that the corporate powers that be plus socialist-phobic Americans would never go for it. It is only the illusion of choice that you assume when playing the right vs left card yes .... for example was he even entitled to run in the first place ? " Arizona is now introducing a bill (HB 2544) that would require Obama and any other candidate vying for the presidency, to produce a birth certificate in order to run in 2012. Should this bill pass, Obama will have no choice, but produce his actual birth certificate for his name to appear on the Arizona ballot. If other red states follow suit, the problem will compound itself, because if Obama cannot produce the birth certificate, his critics could possibly conclude that he was never eligible to begin with, therefore any bill that was passed or executive order signed by Obama during his presidency becomes null and void.
