You'll get wet wherever you are in Thailand during Songkran.

Stay in your room and enjoy the TV, Thai of course.:whistling:

Good luck telling Thais in BKK that you don't want a bucket of water thrown at you from a passing truck, or your face smeared with sludge from a group of Thais walking by. Or if you're riding a motorcycle that you don't want the Thais standing by the road with a garbage can of cold water to throw it at you as your drive by. You have to be careful where you go to avoid water. If you stay on the Skytrain and go from mall to mall you can avoid it. But DEFINATELY avoid Khao San, Silom, Suhkumvit and a bunch of other areas, but it can happen anywhere. And all night clubs and bars, they take buckets of ice water and throw them at you, and they bring their water guns inside the clubs.

I was afraid of this , my first time in Bangkok during Songkran.

So Skytrain is safe ? Alll the malls ? Should I bring a gun?
