I am getting close to filing papers for a visitor visa for Canada for my Thai girlfriend. We have a few documents that we would like to get notorized or witnessed by a Commisioner of Oaths. Does anyone know of where I can get this done in Maenam without having to hire a solicitor.

Thanks

Do you mean public Notary? If so, there is a Lawyers office opposite Sarasin appliance shop between Macro & Tesco heading towards Chaweng. Southern Inter Lawyers, I am very sure they can notorise paperwork..

That would be, Sirisin, Electronics & Appliance Store, large blue and white store with lots of glass, on left coming from Maenam... in area Rooo, mentions...

I too have been looking for a Notary, but not found in Maenam, so this good to know.

Yes, my lawyer is registered notary.

Thank you this is very helpful. Does anyone know how much it will cost to get documents notorized by this company?

Hemmm...has anyone stopped to think and find out whether or not having a Thai "notorial services attorney" certify your document has any legal effect or significance whatsoever?

So if paper work is to be submitted in Thailand , who do you suggest would be acceptable as a Notary. Most if not all Notaries here are lawyers.

The Thai Law Society has a referral system, as I am also very sure that Thai Notaries are accepted within the Thai legal system as well as Thai lawyers.
