Hi all,

I need some advice plz see if you can help me understand.

I have a non-immigrant O visa. I entered Thailand end of Jan 2011 first time on this visa and i got a entry stamp for 90 days.

Q1. Can i extend the 90 days within thailand or do i need to do a visa run ?

Q2. If i can extend the visa in Thai immigration office (BKK) what docs is needed ?

Q3. For how long period can i extend the visa for ?

Can only extend at Immigration for 60 days if you have a Thai Wife or Child.

Or 12 months if you qualify for reasons of retirement,Thai family, work etc.

If you have a Multi Entry Visa you need to leave the country and re enter.

Hi,

I have:

My non-immigration "O" visa is multiple entry !!

And my non-immigrant "O" visa is done with marriage certificate.

So with this combination, can i still only get extended 60 days ?

1. You can make a border crossing and return for a new 90 day stay (that is what your visa is designed for) and continue to do until it expires.

2. You can extend for Thai wife at an immigration office if you have 400k in Thai bank account two months or proof of 40k per month income. Paperwork from both you and wife required and both have to attend and sign and home visit likely/photos in/outside home and for application (cost 1,900 baht each year) and re-entry permit would be required for any exit to keep it alive (your visa would not so a wasted expense for multi entry).

Hi,

Im not extending my Immigration "O" visa which for me will expire jan 2012.

I just want to get extended stay as my 90 days stam is expiring end April. I want to avoid leaving Thailand for a visa run to get 90 days again.

You mean i have to show all those docs again to the immigration office to get another 90 days stamp in my passport ?
