Anyone Know Much About The Bang Kho Laem District?

I may moving to the Bang Kho Laem district (for a job I may take) and would like to know if anyone can provide some insight about this section of Bangkok.

I searched the forum and found little about it here. There is also little about the district on the Internet as a whole. The district has no Skytrain or Subway access, and so it 's somewhat remote from the the Siam Square, Lumpini, Sukhumvit area where I am familiar with.

I know it's a broad question, but I'm hoping someone with experience with Bang Kho Laem can shed some light on what the district is like, what condo or apartment prices are like as compared to other areas in the city, or a general description of the district.

Actually, any input anyone can provide would be appreciated.
