Hi everyone -

This is kind of a precise question, but hope I can get some help -

I was born with a congenital ptosis in my right eye - I am 29 years old now and am planning on getting it rectified as it is now affecting my vision in the right eye. The procedure I would be getting is the frontalis sling procedure.

Firstly I was wondering if anyone on the forum has been through this procedure before and if so - where and did it fix the ptosis??

However not many people have had this procedure done; does anyone know who is the best Ophthalmic Plastic Surgeons in Thailand? I have been in touch with Bumrungrad. I do not feel 100% confident though - I guess this is a normal feeling for anyone who is going to have surgery though!

I have been in touch with Dr Keerati Pungpapong from Bumrungrad who has told me he has done this procedure before - has anyone heard anything about this Dr before?

Any help advice or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I have emailed BNH, Rutin and Bangkok hospital too to inquire - if anyone has any feedback about these places it would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Choose the surgeon, not the hospital.

There are 5 opthalmic plastic surgeons at Bumrungrad; 4 of the 5 which have trained in the west.

Dr. Keerati looks very well qualified. Fellowship at Mass Eye & Ear/Harvard. Fellowships there are very hard to get -- one has to be quite good to get in -- and the training is top notch.

If it were me I would feel comfortable with someone of his qualifications.
