Hi,

I am an Australian citizen intending on getting married very shortly to a Thai national.

I have looked at the stat dec form that needs to be filled in at oz embassy and noted that it requests my job and income, I am unemployed and thus do not have income, I've studied on and off in the past years, I still have money in the bank.

I want to know if it's likely to be an issue when/If I write Job: none, income: Zero on the form. If money in the bank is sufficient, how much?

It's possible I am just over thinking the situation and they won't take any notice.

Any help/advice greatly appreciated...

I am looking at a Stat Dec form at the moment and it does not mention anywhere about how much you earn?

It does state:-Insert the name, address and occupation of the person making the declaration.

2. Set out matter declared to in numbered paragrahs.

3. Signature of person making the declaration, etc.

The only thing you would have to supply would be a Certificate of Divorce, if you have been married before.

Otherwise you state what you are doing now, IE a Student.
