BTS On Nut extension to begin service on August 12

Bangkokians will be able to use the skytrain extension from On Nut to Soi Baring from August 12 onwards.

Following the Monday meeting of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) executives, BMA spokesman Jate Sopitpongstorn said they were notified that the On Nut-Baring extension system would be on a test run on May 4, when media members would also be invited to get on the test ride. Throughout the month of June, the overall skytrain system would be tested before the On Nut-Baring extension would be officially open on August 12, he said, the extension was expected to initially charge commuters at Bt15 per trip.
