Hi all

Couldnt decide where to post this so i am putting it here.

My wife has been for her routine blood tests for her pregnancy, and the tests came back that she is a carrier of Haemoglobin e. Now this is very rare in the uk but from looking at the websites it is quite common in South East Asia.

I have tried explaining to my wife what it is but i am struggling a bit, so i was hoping someone out there could translate for me into Thai Haemoglobin e and also could someone please write in Thai what the disease actually is.

I wasnt sure i should put this in health or in the Thai language forum so i put it here where i am most likely to get a quick response, because she is worrying quite alot now. I have also just had to go out for a blood test to see if i am a carrier but the midwife said this is a very rare blood disorder. :o

Thought i would add this site

http://www.tsv.org.au/hbe.htm

It tells you all about the disease

To the mods

Can you please remove this from the forum, bambi has answered my question in health so no need to waste bandwidth on general topics.

Thanks :o
