i wanted to ask a few questions about all the things I can't do with my iPad.

then I discovered that in neither Safari which I detest, Perfect Browser whcih would be fine if it didn't crash every single time, and Atomic which has only crashed once but still has huge limitations......in none of them can I post in Thaivisa.

Hmmm.....

This post has been made from an iPad2 with True3G and using Safari as a browser. Works fine, no?

I'm using the iPad 2 as well, with the current iOS 4.3.3.

My safari keeps crashing whenever I want to post/reply to a topic here. As soon as I hit the text box, safari crashes. Most people experience this problem, I would really like to know why you create a post here. annoyed.giflaugh.gif

You still use Safari? How do you stand the page reloading thing?

Anyway OP here on iPad1 also 4.3.3

So when I try to post in any of the browsers it generally either will not put a cursor in the box or it covers the whole box with the blue "copy" panel.

It sometimes posts in other forums but seems erratic.

Conclusion:

It's a great "consuming" device.....photos, movies, music (well except that podcasts have a terrible tinny sound that is so bad I don't listen to them), kindle etc.......but as a "working" device it's hopeless to be used in emergencies and the lightest use.

I have come close to seeing how many skips it makes when I spin it into the pond.

BTW talking about reading books I just downloaded 146 pages. Of course I can flick downwards, but it's a lot of ficking flicking.

I can't seem to find any way to scroll "wholesale", like dragging the page position thingy on the right.

Please don't tell me to convert the book with Calibre. I don't want to be wasting my time I waste enough on the iPad already.

thanks and hoping to be told I'm doing

it all wrong.....

There is an app for the iPhone/iPod, not sure if it is out for the iPad, called IP Board. No browser used to read and post...

I checked and discovered that my iPad2 runs under iOS 4.3.2; apparently not the latest version. But it works. This post is made again from my iPad2

This must be software version specific. I am on an iPad 2 iOS 4.3.3 and it crashes Safari when I try to post.

Posting this from an iPad 2 - no issues at all.

I use fast reply at the bottom of the page, or the quote button to quote other posts. Both work well...

Edit: Now trying the full editor, works, too. This is on 4.3.2...

Edit 2: hmmmm I guess I'll stay away from 4.3.3 for now then...
