Featured Replies

Hi, I dont know if this is the best forum to post this but I cant find a fitness section.

I want to try and find an old school fitness park to train at when im in Thailand. Ive never managed to find one before and anywhere is welcome.

BENJASRI PARK next to the Emporium Mall; Phrom Phung BTS. Also has aerobics at 5pm.

Many other parks such as Lumpini and Sirikit (Sirikit Center MRT) also have public exercise equipment.

I have not seen one like your pics 'old school'; we're fortunate to have three within cycling distance (Chanthaburi) all modern, well-maintained and well-used; the closest one to us has 27 exercise stations plus a jogging track and basketball courts, and a swimming pool complex (25m pool). Some evenings have a short wait until an exercise machine is free. Evenings there are outdoor aerobics, yoga classes, early morning there'll be people doing tai chi. All very inspiring for healthy folk.

Also used by local firemen and the occasional policeman trying to lose some belly!

What continues to amaze me is that they are not vandalised/damaged/covered in grafitti.

They wouldn't last a week in NZ without some morons deciding to wreck the equipment.

Pics - 2 in C'buri city, and the more open park one here in Tha Mai.
