We have only fished the pay for lakes these are fun a d last time we went I caught a 40KG + fish great fun but looking for more of a challenge.

Question is on the wild lakes you see locals fishing on are there big fish and what methods do you chaps use to catch them or anything from them.

The locals only appear to catch small fish is this due to the tackle they use or are the big fish not out there

A friend has one of these lakes on her land, and hers contains among others, one of the Snakehead species. She has never stocked the pond.
