khunphil Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 Hi, I've heard some months ago that Freelancer will be able to register for SS on 1st July. Did anyone have information about this ? Did they open already for registration and what kind of documents we need to provide ? I am speaking here about freelancer (Thai), not the "normal" SS scheme for employee ... Well if more information, let me know. It would be kind. Philippe.
prakhonchai nick Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Are we referring to the freelancers on Pattaya Beach Road?
Sydebolle Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Talk to the Social Security Insurance in your city; in Thai it is called ประกันสังคม. There is, indeed the possibility for every Thai to register with this governmental insurance and does not depend on a emloyment status.
harrry Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Are we referring to the freelancers on Pattaya Beach Road? They are performing a job just like everyone else so why shouln't they be able to be covered.
