What on earth is in the air here in rural Chiang Mai?

I live about 6KM from the nearest major road, about 100 metres from the Ping in a small village with just a small single lane road almost 80 m from the house - no neighbours for almost a kilometre each way....what is all this dust and fluff and crap that keeps accumulating?

I have never been anywhere where a house can get so full of dust and crap as I have here. I have lived in cities in Europe and Asia, but nothing beats the accumulation of debris I find out here in the middle of no where.

All my fans in the house become clogged up, the computer gets clogged up in a week in what would normally take ten years in Europe - where on earth does it come from?

Dust I can understand due to the warm dry weather and the winds.....but fluff? I could weave an entire football team a set of kit with what turns up in my place in a week.

Maybe I could start a Fluff Weaving Cottage Industry - OTOP Natural Fluff Shirts and suits!

Could be kapok? It disburses when the pods fall off the trees and eventually split open.
