JOINT COMMISSION ON 5TH THAI-CAMBODIA BILATERAL COOPERATION

Foreign Affairs Minister KANTATHI SUPHAMONGKHON (กันตธีร์ ศุภมงคล) has scheduled to attend the Joint Commission on the 5th Bilateral Cooperation between Thailand and Cambodia. The joint commission aims at strengthening the working cooperation between the two countries.

During 19th – 20th October 2005, Foreign Affair Minister KANTATHI will attend the Joint Commission on the 5th Bilateral Cooperation between Thailand and Cambodia at SIEM REAP (เสียมราฐ) city, Cambodia. The purpose of the joint commission is to strengthen the progress of the working cooperation between Thailand and Cambodia according to the last meeting. The issues to be proposed over the meeting include the bilateral cooperation in managing and administering the Thai-Cambodian border areas, the salvage of landmines, as well as other projects under the ACMECS strategy.

Following the Joint Commission meeting, the Foreign Affair Minister has scheduled to meet and discuss with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen (สมเด็จฮุนเซน) and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister attached to the Prime Minister’s Office Sok An (สก อัน) in Phnom Penh (พนมเปญ) on October 21st. The discussion will intend to push forward the agreement on various issues.
