Hi mate , thanks for the reply , ive been living in bangkok now for some time .

We normally drink in the skumivit area, SO im thinking of the best way to travel to this game .

ive never beed to the stadium, so i not know if there`s any good bars ,etc around that area.

im taking my misses and a few other thai`s

you know the score , im looking for a good atmosphear. good sing song , and good day for them to remember .

I'm taking the missus also, she just told me the stadium isn't far from MBK so will probably find a drinking hole around one of those soi's, drop me a PM if you wana meet up before the game.

looks like gulliver on soi 5 sukumivit road, its a big sports bar english / thai food you can get a good breakfast there for 160 baht , good beer , pool and of course sexy women. what more does a fooball fan want .

were sitting in the red zone which is i belive the side ,ive been told we can sit anywhere ( tickets just 800 baht each)

after the game we heading for soi cowboy . good entertaiment. anyway if you want to join us your welcome.

Gullivers? Soi 5?? Lads its a great spot to load up on both the uppers and downers down there these days. Just my totally unbiased and helpful view. I'd use Soi 8 pub if around that area but horses for courses as they say.

I hear the Dogs has shut nowadays anyway.

That pub in soi 8 is a s--t hole mate , Ive been there a few time`s , and the geezer who own`s the place is a right w---------er. he tried selling me a pint of cider 200 baht , i quote it was not even a pint, more like a small glass.

He also banned us for singing footy songs and been voistrouse, ITS MORE OF AN OLD MANS , AND A EGG CHASING BOOZER.

Gulliver soi 5 is great for live footy. ive had some great nights there.

As for my mrs and soi cowboy. she`s open minded mate. she great fun too, she not the jelouse type , she just wants me to smile and enjoy.

Of course last season i didt smile that much. not winning f--- all.

As far as the missus going to Soi Cowboy she is good with that, the reason I don't fancy going is because I want to give all the fat, balding, old guys a chance, if a handsome guy like myself rocks up its game over! hahaha

Looking at the stadium ticketing plan it looks very much like the Rajamangla to me.

There are no farang style bars in that area, best of luck to you trying to get a taxi back to the town centre after the game.

If it were me I would meet up in the Bamboo bar Suk soi 3, then get the boat from soi 3 to Ram Uni, should cost about 14 baht and take about 20-25 minutes.

From the Uni pier its a good 10-15 minute walk to the stadium.

i`ve been here in thailand now for 3 years , have`t been home in that time

i`ve just got home from a right bender with some thai boys .

and the ex land lord who still keeps an eye on things at the soi 8 bar is a 6 ft 2 kiwi who likes his rugby, is married to a thai lady and has a lot of connections in the area. know what i mean ?

Yeah you're right mate, apparently the missus thought I was talking about some smaller venue close to MBK, luckily I'm staying in the On Nut area so looking on the map its not too far from us at all.

Gullivers...he's right ya know....he can spend his time squinting at the tiny TV screens watching Chelski...the Chicago Bears and CNN all at the same time as getting chatted up by a freelancer while his Mrs runs off with a ladyboy.

Haha yeah whatever, I will upload some pics from my seat in the stadium, I would like to go and see the players warm up and get some autographs but I'm not sure if I can be arsed to travel to the stadium on a couple of occasions!
