Clive Noel, Dead Irishman In Sathorn

Featured Replies

So my Thai girlfriend came home from seeing her sister yesterday and said the people where she lives (Rama 3 area) were all talking about an Irish guy the police found dead on the street by himself. They are saying he killed himself by wrist cutting near the Suphan Thaksin pier and then walked around bleeding. Apparently he wasn't found for more than 24 hours. The whole thing makes no sense. My girlfriend says her sister knows someone who works over by where the body was found and said he was stabbed and robbed and left for dead. None of the Thai's are buying the suicide story. The only info I could find about it is here:

Anyway, usually when a falang dies it makes the news right? Nothing I can find in English. Anyway, anyone else seen or heard anything about this?

I have removed some off topic posts, and some posts speculating on the deceased, that could be considered insensitive.

Please be aware that relatives of the deceased may read this topic.

From the Patrol news link given above, Police Lieutenant Colonel Sinloetsukhum, from nearby Yannawa Police station, said that he came across the man on the 26th June, the evening before he was found dead, slumped asleep on a table in front of the police station. He tried to talk to him but just got a mumbled response as if he was drunk, so left him.

The next time he saw him, several hours later, he was dead.

Heyy guys, so I knew Clive, he was a great outgoing and fun guy... I will be honest here and tell you he is NOT the kind of guy who will kill himself, no matter what the circumstances are, he would never suicide... No matter what the Thai police say, his family knows him best...

RIP Clive we miss you dearly. <3 thanks to the girlfriend of the guy who posted this who does not believe the Thai police...
