What To Expect In Case Of Crisis

Recommended Posts

We still own property my grandparents purchased in their late 20's and they are in their 90's now, so I'd say those chanotes (and value) have fared pretty well considering the dozen+ coups and constitutions in between. Granted we're talking dirt (land, homes, buildings) and not boxes of air (condos).

:)

Thai people will keep buying. They trust real estate more than paper.

Exactly.

Foreigners too. Its lifestyle.

I have owned for over 15 years and haven't had one occasion to consider selling due to the political situation. That said, I have sold property (condo) and the return was better than I had ever anticipated, averaging over 10% per year PLUS income..

If you are seriously concerned, don't buy. Simple.

If you are locking up the majority of your capital, don't buy.

If you are new to Thailand and haven't really spent time here. Don't buy.

But also, if you listen to the gloom and doom merchants, you'd never buy anyway.

Most of the members whom I know here are owners and I am sure they would not be concerned about this current situation. Also, I doubt if any of them are selling !
