Bangkok Lawyer For Will

Featured Replies

I'm looking for a trustworthy and reasonably priced lawyer to draw up a simple will for designation of personal effects and Bank account within Thailand. Any recommendations?

I just happened to have asked Sun Belt Asia the same thing yesterday, and their reply, which I thought is too expensive for a simple Will was:

Our professional fee for Will Preparation is 9,500 baht plus 7% VAT.

If you look at other posts, a will in English must be translated into Thai for it to be valid in Thailand.

Tried to get dh to write up a will and he said, "why do you think I am going to die soon?"

sigh

He saw right through your plan :D

Thanks for the response. I totally agree with you. Will preparation should be under 5,000 baht. Please advise if you find any better source.

I was very satisfied with the prompt professional service drawing up wills for myself, my wife and our daughter by William White at

Whiteandhart.com in Bangkok. In both English and Thai, notarized as part of the price and significantly less money than quoted in a previous post.

The office is easy to find, near a BTS station and the office staff communicate in English very well, not just the American expat lawyers in the office.

It was important to me to have a native English speaker be able to communicate in Thai with my wife and daughter on the documents and to fully explain the details.

Do you have to be from the US to draw up a will through them? I am from the UK and my willwill be for assests in Thailand and a Hong Kong bank account.
