I am in the U.K. and need anew passport because I have run out of pages.I went to the passport office yesterday and they said they would give me a new passport but would have to cut the corner off my old passport which contains my retirement visa, multi entry stamp and my original o visa. Does anyone know the procedure when I come back in? Would they they still give me a stamp in my new passport until the date my retirement visa runs out? Or what will happen.

Very few people even know that the corner missing or being cut off means anything. They are only interested in the expiry date.

If you carry the old and new together you shouldnt have any problems, and you can get whatever is necessary transferred to new passport when you get back to Thailand.

Make sure they don't cut the corner or punch holes in the visa page with your valid visa. That would officially render that one invalid. They must only cut of the corners of the other pages, like the ID-page. Make sure they understand them and tell them which page not to cut.

When returning to Thailand pressent both passports and you will get your permisison to stay in your new passport. Either they will transfer the details of your old passport at the airport or tell you to go to immigration and sort it out there.

OP has two threads running and does not appear to have a visa. He appears to be on a one year extension of stay from Immigration and only has a re-entry permit for return.
