Is The Met Sathorn A Good Place To Live?

Featured Replies

We will be looking for a rental later this month in BKK. Does anyone have experience with The Met Sathorn? Looks like a 93 sqm 2 bed/2 bath rents for from 52k to 60k baht. How is the pool for lap swimming? How is the neighborhood?

Yeah its on Sathon soi 7 which is very central Bangkok. Sathon is a business area so the only problem is heavy traffic jam. But with 10 minute walk you can reach the skytrain ( Chong non sri station). Soi convent ( great place for restaurants and vendors) is also like 10 minute walk across the street. BNH hospital is also very close. You can reach Lumpini park within 5 minutes if theres no jam. I love the area, lived on Sathorn soi 7 for almost 5 years.

The Met is one of my favorite properties in BKK.. you definitely get your moneys worth. Lived there a year and loved it.

How is the pool for lap swimming? Is it heavily used?

Why did you move on after a year, if you liked it there?

I used to work at Bangkok City Tower. Not many good restaurants there and the traffic on Sathorn and Naratiwat is horrible. Also, Sathorn is a bitch to cross.
